Letter to Punjab Government for New Industrial Policy
Chandigarh (PLYBAZAR News Desk) : All India Plywood Manufacturer Association’s (AIPMA) Chairman Naresh Tiwari has demanded from the Punjab Government to set up Plywood Industrial Hub in Hoshiarpur (Punjab), as the farmers of this area are mainly cultivateing wood (Poplar & Safaida) used in Plywood sector.
He has written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh demanding that a new industrial policy should be created for the state, in which a Plywood industrial hub to be built in Hoshiarpur. Mr. Tiwari said that many traders in Punjab want to invest in wood based industries but due to the strict rules of government policies, land and licenses, this can not be done.
Shri Naresh Tiwari said that already there is an institute in Mohali named “Indian Plywood Industries Research and Testing Institute” in which the institute conduct training programe related to plywood sector for youth. Shri Tiwari said if the Punjab Government establishes Plywood industrial hub in Hoshiarpur, then the industry will have a lot of advantage and there is a possibility of new investment in the state.
