Nearly 50% of all India Plywood units closed in protest against GST today
Chandigarh ( PLYBAZAR News Desk ) : Against GST all Plywood manufacturer went on strike from today. Their demand is that the GST rate on Plywood will be reduced from 28% to 18%. They also says that POPLAR and SAFEDA are agricultural products, then why they have been taxed ? Call for strike was raised by Haryana Plywood Manufacturers’ Association (HPMA).
Punjab Plywood Manufacturers Association, UP plywood manufacturers & Uttarakhand plywood manufacturers association have also decided to shut the units from 14th July. The strike will cause a big blow to timber traders, farmers, transporters, plywood favtories workers and will also affect the employment of thousnads of people related to wood based industry.
