LG is set to introduce its new K Series smartphones in India on Wednesday. The company has started sending out media invites for the launch with the letter “K” distinctly suggesting it will be launching the 2017 K series. The South Korean company is expected to showcase the K3 (2017) or K4 (2017) at Indian Mobile World Congress, which is being held from September 27 to September 29 in New Delhi.

LG announced the 2017 K series including four devices earlier this year and has already launched the K8 (2017) and K10 (2017) here in India. The company might add the budget-centric K3 (2017) and K4 (2017) to its lineup to better compete with its Chinese rivals. The LG K10 (2017) was launched in February at Rs 13,990 while the K8 (2017) was launched in August priced at Rs 11,000.

LG K3 (2017) will be the cheapest smartphone in its lineup and it features a 4.5-inch display with FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 chipset coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It features a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP front camera. The handset runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is backed by a 2100mAh battery.
